Does the inlet valve need to be closed after an emergency shutdown of the compressor? If it’s not closed, will the high pressure at the secondary outlet cause reversal? Based on the historical trends during shutdown, the rotational speed dropped from 6,000 revolutions per minute to 200 revolutions per minute, then increased to 2,800 revolutions per minute before gradually coming to a stop; the pressure at the primary outlet rose from 1 kilogram to 1.8 kilograms. After self-protection, the secondary outlet valve is fully closed and the counter-rotation valve is fully opened.
After export self-protection is activated, the export valve closes automatically. I’m asking whether the inlet also needs to have self-protection

Centrifugal? Compressors come equipped with inlet valves that generally have a minimum opening limit; therefore, it’s impossible to expect them to close completely~~ As for compressors that require the interruption of air supply (such as those handling flammable or explosive gases), a shut-off valve can be installed on the inlet pipeline~~

But our inlet doesn’t have a check valve; the main issue right now is that after self-protection is activated, the rotation speed drops to 200 before rising back to 2800, and we’re not sure what causes this
I mean there is a one-way valve on the outlet. Does the speed drop to 200 and then rise to 2800 every time?
The inlet valve that comes with the compressor usually has a minimum opening limit – what is this minimum limit? Why is a minimum limit set? Thank you!
Is the compressor centrifugal or back-pressure type?
This is a minimum limit; it varies depending on the manufacturer, with values around 15% generally. It is mainly used to prevent surging, such as as a result of misoperation or faults with valve positioners~~
