Can electric butterfly valves with DN200 and DN300 diameters open completely in 1 second, remain in that state for a few seconds, then close in 1 second, repeating this cycle? The operating temperature is very low, around minus 30 degrees. I need an answer online right away; it’s urgent!

Generally, electric actuators are rarely required to have a specific switching time; I’ve never seen such a requirement. My boss said the fastest time observed is around 3 seconds, while one second is quite difficult to achieve. It is recommended to consider improving the pneumatic system; the 4 sequence valves used in the polypropylene workshop before were all pneumatic, with their switching times being within one second.

The normally open, power-off shutdown can be accomplished within 1 second. However, it probably won’t work if the device is powered on for just 1 second before attempting to open; at the very least, the electromagnetic force isn’t generated instantaneously. Usually, pneumatic is faster; for quick on/off operations, pneumatic is the best choice. If it’s just for turning off, electric is better. (Personal opinion)
