I currently have a 3051 differential pressure transmitter, model: 3051CD1F22A1AM5B4, with a range of –0.1 to 0.1 KPa. It supports the FF bus protocol; how can I change the unit to Pa?
This instrument has not been used before, but I think it can be modified using a 475 system bus for communication.
The manufacturing date of this watch can be found on its label, at the very bottom in the middle. The instrument software has been updated, and the old and new methods are different. Only the 475 model with Emerson’s own support for the FF protocol can be modified. Also, if you’re using the Ovationr system, you can ask the people in charge of the system; it seems that changes can be made there, which is much more convenient. 475 Change: Whether it’s old or new software, Analog Input1 must be found. The label on the new version is Analog Input1, while the old version uses the label AI1. It can be found once you enter; only change the unit, and leave any other settings unchanged.
Oh, I already have a 475 that supports the HART protocol. Is it possible to upgrade the 475 to support the FF protocol as well?
The 475 can be upgraded to a version with the FF protocol, but the official cost will be relatively high; I estimate it might be in the five-figure range. The exact price is not known. If you really need to change the unit, you can ask the people in charge of the system; with Ovation, the system should allow for direct changes. You can use a hand controller or something in the DCS; it’s very simple.

How do I use this software? How can I communicate with it?
I remember that on our 475 main page there was an FF option; it’s just a pity that we don’t have such transmitters, so I haven’t tried it
The software is easy to use, but to use it one needs a board that supports the FF protocol; both software and hardware are required in order to carry out adjustments. Only the software doesn’t work
The 475 model with FF functionality and the one without FF functionality have the same hardware appearance; both come equipped with an FF interface and an FF menu upon startup. The difference lies in the fact that the 475 model with FF functionality has an FF circuit board inside it. Without an FF card, after connecting the FF instrument, it’s not possible to enter the FF menu even when clicking on it.
