Copper-nickel alloy pipeline and stainless steel flange

The facility has recently installed a seawater desalination unit, and the pipeline flanges designated for use are made of N08020 stainless steel. Our seawater pipelines, on the other hand, are made of copper-nickel alloy; during construction, these pipelines were welded directly to the stainless steel flanges. Is this approach in compliance with the standards? Can copper-nickel alloy be welded directly to stainless steel? If it’s allowed, are there any things to keep in mind? Please ask an expert for advice :)
It seems feasible; for spot welding, use brass welding wire along with welding flux. For fusion welding, S221 welding wire is used. The quality of welding also depends on the technique used.
