Recently, I’ve seen posts saying that chemical engineering design institutes are moving to Qingdao. Is this true? Is it an emerging trend?
Which courtyard are you talking about? Is it Shandong Institute or 3D?
I heard that the Qilu Design Institute has also moved there; I know it’s in Licang District. I’ve also heard of companies like Shanghai HeTu and QiYang from a few years ago, as well as some design firms from other places. I wonder if this is a trend – design institutes moving to Qingdao?

It’s possible for small and medium-sized design firms to go to Qingdao, but large firms won’t; the market there is too small, and even a branch there wouldn’t be able to sustain itself. I think that in the Shandong region, Qingdao is still quite attractive and suitable for small and medium-sized chemical engineering design firms to operate there; after all, there are already several such design firms in that area

The market is limited, so it’s difficult to share the opportunities available
