What equipment is best for removing sludge from the mixture in an anaerobic tank? The TS of the mixture in the anaerobic tank is 3–4%; currently, a horizontal screw centrifuge is used for sludge removal, and the TS of the filtrate is 2–3%, indicating that the sludge removal efficiency is poor. Since the anaerobic tank contains a small amount of grease and the volume of the mixture to be treated is large, plate-and-frame filters were not chosen. May I ask, what other options are good besides screw centrifuges (horizontal screw centrifuges) and plate and frame filters?
Generally, filter plates are the more common choice; screw press filters are suitable for situations with low amounts of sludge, and centrifuges do not achieve as good a dewatering effect as these two types. Filter plates come in various forms, including those with free flow and forced flow, as well as those equipped with pressing and drying functions.
