I would like to ask fellow sea users: what is the relationship between the distance from the first baffle to the tube sheet and the spacing between the baffles? Can it be smaller than the spacing between the baffles?
I haven’t thought about this issue. Theoretically, it’s best if the distance is the same, but a small difference shouldn’t make much of a difference. If it’s too small, reduce by one unit; if it’s too large, increase by one unit :)

It doesn’t matter much; the key is whether the import can meet the requirements (in practice, it seems that they need to be a bit larger than the baffle plates to work properly).
It’s not a major issue; the main things to consider are the area for import and export flow, as well as preventing the span from exceeding the maximum allowable value. Generally, it’s sufficient to use a distance that is roughly equal to that of the baffle plates. If you are the designer, this tiny difference doesn’t matter
