In the workshop, the compressed air pipes run along the beams at a height of about 5 meters. Flow meters need to be installed there, and to facilitate operation and maintenance, they should be placed at an accessible height. The common approach is to lower the elevation of a section of the pipe to form a U-shape, with the flow meter installed on the horizontal pipe below The pipe goes from 5 meters down to 1.5 meters and then back up to 5 meters – it looks really ugly. . . I seek advice from the experts. . .
It’s feasible; creating a small platform would also work. . .
If there is enough space, a maintenance platform can be built
It’s better not to bend it; install it horizontally with the front side facing down
It’s five meters in height; to create a platform, at least 3.5 meters are needed. It takes up space, and it’s not worth it just for one flow meter. If you’re just looking at the readings, I think the person upstairs can handle it; after all, flow meters aren’t that easy to break. But if you need to install valves or something and carry out frequent operational tasks, it’s better to bend down and do it
For ordinary utility systems, as well as those where bagging is not a concern, the flow meter can be installed at a lower position

Ask the owner and the manager, and have them decide whether it’s better to add a platform or to move it elsewhere.
