The measurement of the material in the high-level tank is carried out by installing three weighing modules at each of the two tanks, with these modules arranged at 120-degree angles to one another. The weight of the material entering the tank is displayed via a weighing controller; however, the displayed value does not match the actual weight, fluctuating around 10 Kg. To measure the amount of material that enters the high-level tank, it is necessary to check whether there is any overflow from the overflow port. If overflow occurs, the pump is turned off, and once no more overflow takes place, the measured amount is recorded for use in the mixing tank. Based on observations on site, the following situations can be observed: ① When the tanks are filled to the point of overflow, the weighing display for each tank fluctuates within the range of 0 Kg to 10 Kg as specified. ②. After the material is completely emptied, the weighing display error for each tank fluctuates between 0 kg and 10 kg. This material crystallizes at around 30 degrees, so its volume changes significantly with temperature. When using overflow, the amount of material in the tank may not be accurate, as the pump is started and stopped manually; (under conditions where weighing is accurate,) stopping the pump manually is not synchronized with the weighing process. Crystallization occurs at 30 degrees; heat retention using hot water is considered necessary. All inlet and outlet pipes connected to the surge tank must be made of stainless steel-lined PTFE hoses. A weighing display instrument sends a signal to automatically stop the pump, while the bottom valve of the surge tank is connected to a diverter pipe that leads back to the feed tank, allowing for manual adjustment.
What is the sensor’s range, and what is the volume of the high-level tank? Generally, if the fluctuation range is not large, it’s likely not due to a damaged sensor or an unconnected ground wire. If there were no issues at the beginning of use but such problems started to appear over time, one can check whether the connections are loose, whether the junction box is damp, and whether there are any foreign objects in the weighing module
