How else can dissolved oxygen be understood? Molecular oxygen in the air dissolves in water; is the dissolved oxygen level higher at lower temperatures? Could you explain it to me in simple terms?

The level of dissolved oxygen in water is closely related to the partial pressure of oxygen in the air and the temperature of the water. Under natural conditions, the oxygen content in the air remains relatively constant; therefore, water temperature is the key factor. The lower the water temperature, the higher the dissolved oxygen content in the water. Molecular oxygen dissolved in water is called dissolved oxygen, usually denoted as DO, and is expressed in milligrams of oxygen per liter of water. The level of dissolved oxygen in water is an indicator of a water body’s self-purification capacity. In simple terms, the higher the temperature, the faster the molecules move; the greater the volume of the gas, the lower its density, and the less mass there is per unit volume.
