The operating pressure of the equipment ranges from -10 kPa to 10 kPa (gauge pressure). A pressure transmitter needs to be installed – should it be a gauge pressure transmitter or an absolute pressure transmitter? ? If the gauge pressure transmitter range is set to -10~10? What about the range of gauge pressure?
If the pressure is not high, a gauge pressure transmitter can be used; the operating range is between -10 and +10 kPa, and a transmitter with a range of ±15 kPa can be chosen. Personal opinion....
It’s better to choose a transmitter with negative pressure; using a gauge pressure meter doesn’t seem to be a good option.

A gauge pressure transmitter will do.
If the conditions specified for the process are -10 kPa to 10 kPa (gauge pressure), a pressure transmitter should be used, without considering absolute pressure transmitters. Choosing a table based on process requirements is the right approach. In principle, if a gauge pressure gauge is to be used, the process operation design conditions must be changed first.
For gauge pressure transmitters, the operating range should be around 50% of the maximum scale limit; this is done both for safety reasons and to ensure optimal measurement accuracy and linearity.
I will give priority to differential pressure transmitters, followed by pressure transmitters; I will not use gauge pressure transmitters. The negative terminal of the differential pressure transmitter is connected to the atmosphere, resulting in a gauge pressure output. The range must cover the pressure alarm values. @jiaguoyun

Since the requirement specified by the process engineering department is that the operating pressure of the equipment should be between -10 kPa and 10 kPa (gauge pressure), a pressure transmitter (gauge pressure) should definitely be used. A measurement range of -20 kPa to 20 kPa (gauge pressure) can be chosen, and most transmitters are capable of achieving this. Of course, a differential pressure transmitter can also be chosen, with a measurement range of -20 kPa to 20 kPa, and the low-pressure side is at atmospheric pressure.
Gauge pressure is sufficient; the range can be selected based on the actual conditions on site. -15~15, -20~20 are both fine. Absolute pressure can be ignored, as the local atmospheric pressure is variable; therefore, even if it is measured, there will be some error.
