May I ask, for an acetic acid storage tank with a capacity of 30 m³, what is the required safety distance? Also, in which manual can I find information on the appropriate material to use? The purity should be over 95%, and the acid needs to remain in liquid state
According to the chemical process manual, it is classified as Category B in terms of hazard level; the fire separation distance is 0.75D from storage tanks, and 12 meters from buildings
There must be relevant standards and specifications for the safety distance, right?
In the past, 304 was used as the material for acetic acid storage tanks. As for the required safety distance, given that your storage tank is small, it is sufficient to follow the provisions of the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings.
