Notice from the Petrochemical Section regarding the launch of the large-scale campaign “I’m saving energy – where are you?” “Energy conservation and cost reduction to ensure sustainable operations” became the most frequently mentioned terms among chemical industry professionals in 2016, losing the glory and popularity they once had. Faced with overcapacity and low prices, thousands of chemical industry workers are seeking a new path forward; they are exploring ways to transform by-products, reduce energy consumption and waste, and operate at break-even in order to overcome this difficult period. I. Theme of the event: I’m practicing energy conservation – where are you? II. Requirements for the event: 1. Post in any section within the petrochemical category ； The content of the posts can include measures and methods for saving energy and reducing costs in order to maintain operational profitability; it’s better to include pictures, whether they are your own, from your company, from others, or from the internet. As long as the ideas are valid, they will be accepted (each UID is allowed to post no more than three times) ； 2. Requirements for the post title format: “I’m practicing energy conservation; where are you?” followed by ******. 3. Event timeline: Recruitment of staff for promotion purposes: April 13, 2016 – April 17, 2016; Event duration: April 13, 2016 – June 17, 2016; Evaluation and award presentation: June 17, 2016 – June 20, 2016. 4. Awards for participants: All those who post will be assigned a unified identification number in the format of Petrochemical0**, and will also receive a reward of 30 wealth points promptly ； 2. Outstanding posts, as selected and recommended by the organizing committee, can be provided to the operations team for additional rewards via WeChat submissions/editing sections; the authors may also become honorary moderators or honorary members of the Petrochemical Zone ； 3. This event offers two categories of awards: text-based and image-based. When there are over 200 entries, an additional Grand Prize will be awarded, worth 600 Haichuan coins; if there are more than 300 entries, the value of the Grand Prize increases to 1000 Haichuan coins, and it rises to 1500 Haichuan coins for 500 entries.
