Recently, while using SW6-2011 to model vertical containers, I found that a conical top head cannot be selected; only the bottom head can be set as conical. As shown in the attached diagram, what is the reason for this? 1. It’s a defect in the software programming; you can handle it technically on your own. 2. One is to calculate the upper head cone separately. 3. One is to calculate the upper ellipse and the lower vertebral body; using the results of these calculations, if there is a liquid level, the upper cover plus the static pressure due to the liquid level is sufficient.
Calculate by pressing the head cone. That would be good. The lower head has been checked, so there should be no problems with the rest!
Under normal circumstances, a conical head is not required; it has two functions: changing the diameter and facilitating discharge. In your case, it might be due to a limitation in the software, or it could be intentional on the part of the software developers, with the aim of discouraging the use of conical end caps on the upper part of the device.
