As the title suggests: Having read some books recently and also learned some theories regarding Earned Value (EV), I want to use this knowledge to create a rough Work Breakdown Structure for my current tasks. Ideally, it would be possible to develop a standard dictionary of work packages. However, I encountered some issues during this process – while the breadth is manageable, the depth is insufficient, which hinders the progress of the work, especially when it comes to the descriptions at the work package level. Does anyone have a complete dictionary of work packages for chemical EPC engineering companies or design services? If so, could you send some relevant materials to 3640798@qq.com? Thank you again! I guess no one will help you. Few domestic design institutes are capable of carrying out this fundamental work; it often remains a mere formality. A few companies that do a good job have the complete WBS work packages encrypted, so you won’t be able to open them either. There are some established companies abroad that do this; I’ve seen a set made by Kellogg, but it’s impossible to get access to them if you don’t cooperate with them.
Kailek was an example to follow for the several large complexes under the Ministry of Chemical Industry in the 1990s. I wanted to understand the depth and the specific composition of the documents, as well as the level of detail in their breakdown, rather than having the entire WBS. Kellogg Brown & Root now only provides process packages. I have bought many databases and documents from them in the past.
