Introduction to DCS water-coal slurry additives: The DCS series of composite water-coal slurry additives were developed independently by the Institute of Energy and Chemical Engineering at Hunan University of Science and Technology. These are high-molecular organic compounds resulting from green organic synthesis, possessing excellent dispersion and stabilization properties. No stabilizers are required when using them, and it is possible to produce water-coal slurries with high concentrations; their performance parameters meet international advanced standards. In 2002, this product passed the new product evaluation conducted by the Hunan Provincial Economic and Trade Commission, receiving high praise from the experts present. The DCS series of composite water-coal slurry additives have received high praise for their use in companies such as Hunan Lanyu Thermal Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd., Hunan Haohua Chemical Co., Ltd., Xiangdong New Village Coal Washing Plant in Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province, and Guangxi Yieneng Water-Coal Slurry Co., Ltd., yielding good economic benefits. It is characterized by a wide range of coal types it can handle, and is capable of producing high-concentration water-coal slurry with excellent properties ; It offers excellent cost-performance; under the same coal type and the same technical requirements for slurry quality, the cost per ton of slurry additives is 2–10 yuan lower than that of other slurry additives currently in use in China. ● Main technical properties of DCS series composite water-coal slurry additives (1) Product model specifications and key technical parameters: Item, Appearance, Solid content (%), pH value, Storage period (months at 25°C). DCS-1: Dark brown liquid, 35±2, 9–11, 24; DCS-2: Dark brown liquid, 50±2, 9–11, 24. Note: DCS series composite water-coal slurry additives with other solid content levels can be produced according to customer requirements. (2) Applicable coal types, addition rates, and slurry-forming properties. Applicable coal types: Coal types that require moderate effort to form a slurry. Parameter, Addition rate (%), Slurry concentration (%), Slurry viscosity (mPas), Stability (months). Note: The addition rates in the table are based on 100 for dry coal. DCS-1: 0.6~1, 62~68, 1000±200; no hard precipitates form within 1 month. DCS-2: 0.4~1, 62~68, 1000±200; no hard precipitates form within 1 month. ● Technical support and services: The Institute of Energy and Chemical Engineering at Hunan University of Science and Technology has a strong R&D team specialized in clean coal technology; it comprises 26 researchers, including 5 doctors and 2 professors. We possess a solid technical foundation and extensive experience in the preparation and application of water-coal slurry, as well as in coal quality monitoring, and are able to provide technical support and services for your company’s water-coal slurry production and coal quality control. (1) Conduct slurry formation tests on new coal types or blended coals, provide laboratory slurry formation reports, guide adjustments to the on-site production process, and modify the formula of water-coal slurry additives according to changes in coal types in order to ensure the quality requirements of water-coal slurry and reduce its production costs. (2) Dispatch technical personnel to provide on-site guidance and demonstrate the operation when using the product. If a problem occurs with the product, technical personnel will be sent to the site within 8 hours upon receipt of notification from the buyer to resolve it. (3) To ensure the smooth progress of production, technical training is provided to personnel prior to official production use. (4) To ensure the smooth progress of production, a production commissioning outline is provided prior to commissioning, along with on-site guidance for the commissioning process.
