I spent the whole afternoon today working on the iron standard curve, but it didn’t work. How long does it usually take to complete it? Am I being a bit slow with E?

If it starts with preparing standard solutions and reagent solutions for other applications, and then using instruments to measure photometric values, it usually takes from half a day to a week, depending on the level of skill. If one is studying humanities, it’s normal to take a month or two. If one is studying humanities and does not seek advice from others, it should be possible to do it in a year as well.
Slow enough; they must work in a public institution, right?

The iron standard curve is a routine standard curve; creating it is quick. It does take some time to prepare standard solutions of different concentrations, but one afternoon is definitely enough for that! Keep it up :)
If skilled, it takes one hour from starting to prepare the reagents to completion; even if not skilled, it should take three hours.
I tried for an entire afternoon without success; I must be a beginner, right? To grasp the key points, after preparing the reagents, it is necessary to use volumetric flasks and pipettes that have passed calibration tests; the reagents must be added accurately. This is especially true for the iron standard solution – the same pipette should be used, and it’s best to draw the solution from the same part of the pipette (either the upper or lower section). Success on the first attempt is not difficult.
