Water softening equipment is widely used in areas such as boiler water treatment, softening of water in central air conditioning systems, desalination, production of high-purity water, treatment of industrial wastewater, as well as the removal and recovery of heavy metals. Its applications are found in industries including electricity, electronics, chemicals, metallurgy, environmental protection, biology, pharmaceuticals, food processing, light industry, and textiles. Installation requirements for water softening equipment: 1. The foundation must be level, and a floor drain or drainage channel should be installed in a nearby location to allow the discharge of regenerated wastewater. An independent power outlet should be provided near the equipment. 2. The salt tank should be located near the exchange tank, and the salt suction pipe should be as short as possible. 3. A Y-type filter and a water meter should be installed on the water inlet pipe, and a sampling port should be provided at the water outlet. 4. Manual valves should be installed on the inlet and outlet pipes, and a bypass valve should be provided between them to allow water supply to continue during regeneration or maintenance. 5. If the water pressure at the water inlet is lower than 0.2 MPa, an automatic pressure-boosting pump needs to be added. 6. The salt in the salt tank must be industrial salt; iodized salt or calcium salts are not allowed. To ensure that the concentration of the salt solution in the salt tank reaches saturation, the dissolution time must be at least 6 hours; in addition, forced regeneration should be carried out once before its first use. 7. When the raw water hardness is >6 mmol/L, the selection grade should be increased by 1–2 levels. 8. The pipes must be rinsed before use to prevent impurities from clogging the valve body and contaminating the resin. 9. Anti-freezing measures should be taken for water softening equipment in the north during winter

I’m still very grateful to the original poster for sharing it~
