Why does the engine lubrication system pass through the cooler first and then the filter? Can’t it be the other way around? This is an exam topic, but I don’t know why it’s designed this way Thank you

If it first passes through a filter and then a cooler, there will be no way to filter out impurities if those impurities are present in the cooler
