Ethane, ethylene, propane, and propylene pass through the deethanization stripping tower, and the overhead product then enters the deethanization distillation tower. What is the function of these two towers? What has been isolated?
Perhaps it’s called differently; the separation of carbon-2 to carbon-4 mixed hydrocarbons involves first carrying out a rough separation of C-3, C-4, and components with lower carbon numbers. We refer to this process as the LPG tower. Components with carbon numbers 2 and lower are extracted from the top of the tower, while C-3, C-4 (LPG) are extracted from the bottom of the tower. The overhead stream, containing a small amount of hydrogen and methane along with a large amount of C-2 components, enters the deethanization distillation column for separation; the C-2 components are taken out from the bottom of the column, while hydrogen and methane are taken out from the top.
