So isn’t vacuum created by a vacuum pump while driving?
First of all, I’m not an electrical engineering student; please forgive me if I’m wrong. Before the turbine unit starts operating, the creation of vacuum is achieved through a vacuum pump. When the steam turbine unit is operating, the vacuum is maintained by the condenser condensing the waste steam. At this time, the function of the vacuum pump is merely to remove the leaked dry air and non-condensable gases from the system.
It relies both on an ejector and a condenser; the condenser cools a large amount of steam into water, while the ejector removes the non-condensable gases.
It should mainly be maintained by the condenser; vacuum maintenance is required only when the vacuum level is insufficient. Vacuum extraction is also used at the beginning of the vacuuming process
In fact, it mainly relies on the vacuum pump; no matter how efficient the condenser is, there will still be waste steam that cannot be condensed, and the pressure remains high. It is necessary to use a vacuum pump to increase the vacuum level (reduce the absolute pressure).
