AutoCAD Plant 3D from Autodesk includes P&ID functions, and there is also a separate AutoCAD Plant P&ID software; these products have gradually gained a foothold in the market over the past few years. Because it is fully compatible with AutoCAD, when working with AutoCAD, one only needs to learn a little* to quickly create PID diagrams for engineering designs. Although the software has a Chinese version, it seems to be designed based on American standards; some localization is needed to better fit domestic design requirements, and there are indeed some terms that are difficult to understand. Especially the nouns related to self-control are simply incomprehensible. In the tag numbers of AutoCAD Plant P&ID, there is content similar to this: “PLC that can be used from an auxiliary location”, “DCS that cannot be used from a main location”, etc. It classifies control instruments by function into DCS, PLC, Discrete, and Computers; aside from the \"Computers\" category, it is basically the same as the classification used in domestic designs ； The locations are divided into three parts: Primary Loc, Auxiliary Loc, and Field. This is understandable as well; although in domestic designs they are generally separated into Field and centralized control, in my view it’s as if centralized control has been split into primary and auxiliary locations (important controls and less important controls?) ), what’s hard to understand is, just press it? ? (Because it’s not understood, it’s unclear what to press.) It is further divided into “Accessible” and “Inaccessible,” resulting in over 20 different control states. Taking the DCS in the \"auxiliary location\" as an example, the translation provided by the Chinese version of AutoDesk is: DCS that can be used from the auxiliary location and DCS that cannot be used from the auxiliary location. The corresponding original terms are Au*liary Loc Accessible DCS and Au*liary Loc Inaccessible DCS. Since this involves not only language issues but also professional aspects related to instrument control, I am posting this request hoping that experts who are proficient in both English and instrument control can suggest terms that better reflect what is meant by \"main location\", \"auxiliary location\", \"usable\" and \"unusable\" in AutoDesk’s translations, terms that are easier for people in China to understand or that are closer to the terminology used in domestic design practices.
