In my workshop’s pre-hydrogenation unit, the recycle hydrogen and make-up hydrogen compressors form a combined unit of one compressor driving two others. . In addition to the oil station, the unit is also equipped with an oil filler. . An oil injector is used to inject oil into the cylinder and packing. . Do the cylinder and packing still need lubrication? ?
The functions of lubricating oil include cooling, lubrication, flushing, sealing, protection, load relief, and shock absorption. In other words, the cylinder and packing are not subjected to conventional lubrication; instead, oil is applied directly to the piston rod and piston to fulfill its intended functions

If the medium in the hydrogen compressor is clean, it is generally not necessary to inject lubricant into the cylinder.
The cylinder and packing no longer require lubricating oil. The oil from the oil filler will be discharged as waste oil
