Generally, centrifuge manufacturers require a high salt concentration in the feed material, but too high a concentration can easily cause blockages in the pipelines. It is advisable to achieve a salt concentration of 20%-25% for salt extraction, and a swirl chamber should be installed above the centrifuge’s feed inlet to increase the salt concentration.
Which is better: a two-stage pusher centrifuge or a vacuum filter (disk-type or drum-type)? Is it necessary to add insulation material to the filtration equipment or to use a jacketed design with steam heating?
Choose the type with a pusher and a drum; it has a high processing capacity, and no insulation is required on the outside of the equipment, but insulation is needed for the feed pipelines.
