I would like to ask everyone: Are there any industrial facilities, both domestically and internationally, that use ethanol as a raw material to produce ethylene through dehydration reactions? Where are they all? What scale? What are the economic benefits? If anyone who knows knows, please let me know. Thank you!
Is it certain this will be cost-effective? What are the prices of ethanol and ethylene? How much ethanol is theoretically needed for one ton of ethylene? Can ethanol be supplied in large quantities?
There is a large amount of ethanol in industry. The key is what the economic benefits are? Please analyze it for me. :lol
Why isn’t there a process for ethylene production using feedstock with a concentration of pure ethanol of 95% or higher for dehydration?
The key question is why isn’t there currently a process for producing ethylene through dehydration using pure industrial ethanol as raw material? Is it all an ethanol-water solution at around 50%?
