I would like to ask everyone: Is it necessary to install an inlet liquid interlock cut-off valve for storing liquid chlorine in a horizontal tank? Is it necessary to install leak collection facilities in the liquid chlorine tank area?
Do outlets also need to be equipped with interlocked cut-offs?
According to regulations, liquefied gases and **gases must be equipped with emergency shut-off valves. If there is no enclosed space, it is not convenient to install leakage collection facilities in the liquid chlorine storage area, as liquid chlorine vaporizes quickly and is difficult to collect. Perhaps only setting up an alkaline water spray will do. What we did was place the liquid chlorine cylinders indoors, and then use exhaust fans to draw them into an alkaline water absorption tower for treatment.
