According to the JB4732 standard, the operating temperature of the materials is kept below their creep temperature. Many devices are now used at temperatures much higher than this, such as 550–700 degrees. What materials are then suitable for use in such cases?
During the training for those who design SAD analyses, the instructor mentioned that JB/T4732 does not take into account creep failure of containers; therefore, the operating temperature of the materials is restricted to be below their creep temperature. The newly revised standard will address this issue, and in the absence of such provisions, one can only refer to ASME or EN standards
