When switching a burner that uses liquefied natural gas from a low flame to a high one, the flame is good at first, but gradually it becomes shorter, bluer, and more transparent. What’s going on?

At low heat levels, the incoming air is more abundant than the air needed for combustion; at high heat levels, the incoming air is not sufficient to meet the needs of combustion, so only as much air as is available can be used for burning. Simply put, in your case, the burner can be controlled at low temperatures. During a fire, the amount of air supplied to you from above will be determined accordingly. No matter how much the burner is turned up, that’s still the same amount of gas. In other words, the burner is too large, while the air supply is relatively small.

Are your burners proportionally controlled? If so, you can try reducing the air volume slightly. It’s also possible that the gas composition is not suitable – what type of gas source is being used? Also, what is the pressure after adjustment in the gas pressure regulating box? What is the pressure in front of the leak detection valve when the burner is set to high power? Is it due to insufficient gas supply, or an inadequate flow rate in the pipeline design? Take multiple aspects into consideration!
