What is the difference between using a safety barrier + AI (TC) to connect to the DCS, and using transmitters + safety barriers for isolation + AI cards to connect to the DCS? Is their budget that large? Please ask an expert to answer
It must be the higher costs later on. In such cases, it’s better to use an intrinsically safe temperature transducer safety barrier directly.
The difference is that one involves isolation + transduction conversion, while the other involves transduction + isolation + conversion; for TC signals, the former is cheaper and simpler.
