Ethylene glycol is produced by the hydration of ethylene oxide; the waste liquid resulting from the distillation and purification of ethylene glycol mainly contains diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, and other substances. Does anyone know how this waste liquid is currently utilized? Is there any industrial method for separating and purifying these different types of glycols?
