Cajunic acid on stainless steel 304, help needed

I have a client who supplies cashew shell oil; the medium contains cashew acid, with a pH value of around 3. The medium is particularly aggressive to rubber oxidation; previously, cast-iron pumps with external bearings were used, and now I want to switch to externally lubricated gear pumps – would stainless steel 304 be suitable? Teflon is used for sealing
Since cast iron pumps were used before, there’s no need to change the material now, right? But a pH value of 3 should be corrosive to carbon steel; I’m not sure about this. I’ll wait for experts to give me some guidance
