Our company’s torch system requires welding work; there are 61 branch pipes with a main pipe diameter of 350, and the tallest vertical pipe is 50 meters high. Could you advise on how to ensure thorough purging and replacement of the air from the system?
Steam purging; steam visible at the torch top, for more than 24 hours； Drain at each low point (take precautions) ； Test the explosion protection at each low point; stop the steam supply once it passes the test ； Nitrogen is introduced through openings when working with fire; once the first opening is opened, it is safe to work with fire at other locations as well.
