Regarding the scoring issue for the case analysis section of the Chemical Engineering major exam, only the answers are accepted and the solution process is not considered

As the title suggests, it’s a case analysis. If one doesn’t know how to outline the steps, but manages to arrive at the correct answer by using the process of elimination, how is scoring handled in that case? And what about when the answer is incorrect but the steps taken are correct? How is that scored?
I haven’t taken the exam yet, but I know that for the professional examination cases, the initial assessment is done by machines; only after that will a human examiner check to see if you followed the proper procedures. In the first situation you mentioned, you definitely won’t get any points. In the second situation, if the machine doesn’t approve it, then the human examiner won’t give you any points either. So, make sure to study hard
