Currently, factories use concentrated nitric acid to react with silver in order to produce silver nitrate, which generates yellow smoke; the gas contains high levels of nitrogen oxides. How can such gas be treated? My reaction is characterized by intermittent responses, with a large amount of yellow smoke appearing momentarily.
