Dear experts on this forum, what type of programmable valves are used for washing molecular sieves with liquid nitrogen? I saw that some companies use ball valves on tracks before. I was wondering if valves of other types are used? How is it working? Which type of valve is most commonly used nowadays?
Additional question: Can a three-eccentric butterfly valve be used as a substitute?

There are many applications for ball valves on tracks; the well-known imported brands of such valves are limited, and their prices are not low. I am cautious about domestically produced ball valves on tracks – not many of them are actually of good quality; First, you need to understand the operating mechanism and principle of pneumatic ball valves. Although they are also ball valves, they differ from floating ball valves and fixed ball valves. After having dealt with such valves several times, I use hard-sealed ball valves for my clients, as the operating conditions and the medium involved are very demanding. Since you haven’t specified the working conditions, we can discuss this further.
A three-eccentric butterfly valve will suffice. There are also many achievements, no problem. It offers much better value for money than orbital ball valves!
As a supplementary note, I am referring to imported triple-eccentric butterfly valves. The sealing performance of domestic products is still a bit poor, especially in conditions with large temperature differences such as those encountered with molecular sieves.
