What does it mean when there is no temperature rise after one rotation?
The load is too low, or the air supply is too high, or the catalyst is deactivated. Is there exhaust?
A few days ago, the plant had to shut down urgently, and sulfur blowing was not carried out on the bed. During restart, the temperature of the bed rose excessively; it’s possible that the catalyst became inactive. What should be done?
Reduce the air supply for half a month and see if it can recover If that doesn’t work, then the catalyst needs to be replaced.
How high does the temperature rise? Which manufacturer’s catalyst is being used? You can consult the catalyst manufacturer. In our old plant, the temperature would get so high that the thermometer sleeves would turn red, yet the catalyst could still be used.
Raise the reactor inlet temperature to 240–245°C and increase the H2S concentration to around 2% in order to carry out thermal immersion regeneration of the catalyst for at least 24 hours; give it a try – it should be effective.
