RT is located about 300 meters away from the PLC cabinet; could signal distortion occur due to this long distance?
It is best to have a shielding layer. A 1.5 wire; one with a 500-length was used on site.

There’s no problem at all; it’s not even necessary to connect the shielding layer. No issues at all
As long as it runs along the instrument cable tray and is not laid together with power cables of 220V or higher, there is no problem; shielding is not necessary
Now, both types of instrument transmitters use 4-20ma current output, so as long as the gauge can be illuminated, this distance is sufficient. It’s okay either way
No problem. 800M will work just fine. As long as a suitable shielded cable is chosen. However, it’s hard to say the same for electromagnetic flowmeters; it’s best to do some calculations.
1. Is it a digital signal, an analog signal, or a high-frequency pulse input signal? 2. If it is a digital voltage signal, the capacitance of the wiring will undoubtedly affect the response time of the signal. 3. For high-frequency signals, excessively long cables can have catastrophic effects :)
There are no issues with DI/O. As for AI/O, as long as it is connected through the instrument tray and there is no voltage above 220V, then there are no problems:victory:
