Is it necessary to install an emergency shut-off valve in atmospheric pressure vertical cylindrical welded steel storage tanks, and which standards should be referenced? I need an expert to help answer this. . .
Emergency shutdown is related to the medium, right? It doesn’t have much to do with the tank itself, does it?
So, must storage tanks for flammable liquids be equipped with emergency shut-off valves? I think they aren’t necessary unless it’s a tank storing liquefied substances.

You may refer to Article 6.4.1(4) of the \"GB 50160-2008 Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises\", as well as the provisions in Section II of the \"Notice from the State Administration of Work Safety on Further Strengthening the Safety Management of Chemical Storage Areas\" (An Jian Zong Guan San [2014] No. 68).
