Design institutes generally use the API610 standard for rotating equipment. I would like to ask if there is any standard in the ASME standard that corresponds to API610? What are the differences and connections between ASME standards and API standards?

Simply put, ASME is the American Society of Mechanical Engineers; its standards are mostly included in ASNI (the American Standards Institute). ASME B73.1 pertains to single-stage end-suction centrifugal pumps used in the chemical industry, while B73.2 applies to vertical pipeline centrifugal pumps used in the same sector. The design pressure for these pumps is Class 150, with a head capacity generally within 160 meters. API refers to the standards set by the American Petroleum Institute; API610 represents the highest standard for centrifugal pumps in the petroleum, chemical, and natural gas industries. This standard was later adopted by ISO, under the designation ISO13709. The design pressure for API pumps starts at Class 300
