Dear experts, I have a question: I own a natural gas storage and distribution station, and there is an issue related to venting. If centralized venting is chosen, the distance between the vent pipes and various buildings, structures, and process equipment must be kept large to meet fire safety requirements; can it then be opted for to use local venting instead? I haven’t found any relevant standards that specify under what circumstances discharge can be done on-site and under what circumstances it must be carried out centrally. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find such information?
It’s fine as long as it’s confirmed that on-site discharge does not pose any safety issues. Of course, environmental protection aspects are tricky to handle, so for large quantities it is recommended to carry out centralized emission
In from above, out from below. Reason: If liquid flows in from below and out from above, it will fill the heat exchanger; this approach is not adopted to account for the heat exchanger’s capacity limits. Moreover, the static pressure energy of the liquid forces the pressure at the front end of the section to increase to a higher level in order for the heat exchanger to function properly
I’m also puzzled by this; since I’m using CNG supply, I don’t understand how to set up local venting and centralized venting
