I plan to start preparing for the exam to become a registered chemical engineer this year; I checked out some experience-sharing posts on other threads. Perhaps it’s because this is my first time dealing with this, and I have no foundation; what others say seems rather fragmented, so I’d like to organize it systematically. I’m seeking help here! The main points are as follows: 1. Recommended review materials (it’s best to write the full name so that they can be searched easily in the absence of a link) or question sets; 2. Tips for taking the exam; 3. Learning experiences and summaries
For the basic level, it is recommended to use the basic textbooks from Tianjin University. For the professional level, guidelines published by Tianjin University, relevant associations, and websites are advised. There’s no need to delve too deeply into the basic concepts, but it’s important to be familiar with them, especially those that can be confusing; the scope is broad and this can present some difficulties. At the professional level, one must be highly proficient in using the standards and calculation methods involved. The volume of questions is large, and on the second day, almost no one manages to finish all of them.
