What is the typical value for the differential pressure (dp) of the control valve in instruments, in the absence of any specific requirements? Some take 3m, while others take 5m.
What do 3m and 5m pressure differences mean?
It is generally carried out according to the parameters specified in the process requirements

The system pressure of the pump shall be not less than 30% of the pipeline pressure drop (including the pressure drop due to the heat exchanger, but excluding the static head generated by the height difference). 2. Gas system: Based on the pressure difference between the upstream and downstream sections, minus the pipe resistance loss. It is generally considered to be the maximum value of DP. 3. For the steam valve of the heat exchanger, the steam temperature required is determined based on the area of the heat exchanger; this temperature is then converted into a saturated pressure value, which corresponds to P2 of the control valve. @jiaguoyun @Big Horse with Big Bow
