I bought it in Beijing back in 1996. Back then it was pretty crappy, so I tied a string around it and wore it around my waist for several years. I used it for 13 years; once, when I was using a hammer, I even used it as a brick, and it got cracked. Luckily, it didn’t break completely. From 1996 to 2001, I used this phone quite frequently. I remember having to queue up every month to pay the phone bill – I paid amounts of over 2,000, over 3,000, and even over 4,000. During those 13 years of use, I replaced the battery only once. When I went to buy a new battery, I found that it wasn’t available in stores anymore. That’s when I sadly retired it. In the end, it never really broke down! It’s really genuine! It’s still in my drawer at home today!
