Are there any special lined flanges available for Chenli steel pipes? ? How should lined steel pipes be connected to flanges? ? ? Can’t weld it, right? ?
Weld first, then line the pipe together with the flange.
You can buy the finished product directly, as it has already been prepared by the manufacturer; If you do it yourself, after welding the flange to the steel pipe, it still needs to be taken to a plastic lining manufacturer for lining; generally, the pipe cannot be too long, otherwise lining it becomes impossible
The lined pipe is connected using flanges; the pipe sections are prefabricated in segments (with flanges at both ends) first, followed by the overall lining process.
First, weld the flange to the steel pipe, and then carry out the lining process. The lining layer cannot withstand the high temperatures of welding, so it cannot be welded.
In that case, the support for the pipeline can’t be welded to the pipeline either, right?
There are two types of flanges for lined pipes: one is a conventional flange that is welded directly to the pipe, and the other is a loose-flange type, where the flange’s flanged edge is welded to the pipe while the flange itself remains movable. They are all welded to the lining first. Some manufacturers construct directly according to the drawings, delivering the components to the site where adjustments are made to the lining; while in other cases, the components are prefabricated on-site, removed later, taken to the manufacturer’s facility for lining, and then brought back for installation. If the support for the lining pipe is fixed, it must be secured using pipe clamps or U-bolts
There are now teams specialized in lining pipes, carrying out welding and lining on-site; there are also manufacturers dedicated to producing lined pipes, so you can have those manufacturers take a look! Contactable
For lined pipes, the pipe is pre-installed first to determine its dimensions; thereafter, the pipe is welded to standard steel flanges, pressure testing is carried out, and markings are made before handing it over to the lining manufacturer for lining. The pipeline after the lining cannot be welded. However, to eliminate installation errors, adjustment sections can be provided in certain directions of the pipeline, that is, pipes with a fixed flange at one end and a slip flange at the other.
