I graduated in 2011 with a degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology. I have been working in manufacturing companies, and currently hold a mid-level position there. However, the location is quite remote; I would like to switch to a job in the city. I’m not sure what kind of job to look for, as I don’t have any certificates. I hope everyone can help me by offering some suggestions. I’m really stuck...
Any job is better than working in the chemical industry; it’s time to start over
There are no more chemical companies in the urban area, so people have to switch to other industries; as a result, the chemical industry loses another expert. It’s a shame for the chemical engineering schools. However, think it through before changing jobs; you can work in fields related to chemistry (design, consulting, sales, etc.)
There are more opportunities in big cities, but the pressure is high
You can live in the city and buy a car to drive to work every day. . .
It’s impressive to reach a middle management position in the company after just five years of working there. You might as well choose to focus on management work – as long as the salary is good enough, that’s fine
