Must full-threaded studs be used with double nuts?
What does \"double nut\" mean? Is it one at each end, for a total of two, or two at each end, for a total of four? There are two in total, and they are used quite often on flanges.
Used on pipe flanges, one at each end; two should be enough, right? PN25, with the medium being liquid ammonia and gaseous ammonia.
I don’t know; I use liquid-based media, as well as ASME flanges that are not flammable or explosive.
There is another question I’d like to ask. The set pressure of the safety valve on top of the liquid ammonia sphere tank is 2.1 Mpa. The outlet pipe of this safety valve leads to the ammonia absorption tower, and the top outlet of the tower is used for direct venting. Can the outlet pipe of the safety valve be designed for normal pressure conditions?
It depends; some don’t require it.
It seems this isn’t possible. My autoclave previously had a control valve, and the design team determined that at the moment the valve was opened, the pressure upstream and downstream of the valve was equal

Full-threaded bolts come in single-head and double-head types, with the choice depending on the requirements.
The pressure in the outlet pipeline of the safety valve should be determined based on the pipeline resistance and the absorber resistance. After the safety valve opens, energy is converted, and pressure turns into flow velocity.
