We all say that when burning ammonia in a sulfur production furnace, it is necessary to keep the furnace temperature at least at 1250 degrees Celsius. There is an infrared thermometer in front of our sulfur production furnace, used to measure the temperature of the flame. Can this flame temperature represent the furnace temperature? Also, what is the difference between flame temperature and furnace temperature? I would appreciate it if experts could give some guidance
Infrared temperature must be corrected using a thermocouple in a nearby location.
So, what we mean by controlling the temperature is that as long as the flame temperature meets the required level, the problem of ammonia combustion can be resolved, right?
Because this temperature is too high, ultraviolet thermometers and infrared thermometers are usually used together to measure the flame temperature. The flame temperature is generally higher than the furnace temperature.
The requirement for the ammonia combustion temperature is the furnace temperature; the flame temperature is not the same at every point, and the furnace temperature should be closer to the reaction equilibrium temperature.
