I’m asking the experts: What do the following two descriptions mean? 1. HOSE CONNECTION, THREADED, CL3000, 20#, MANUFACTURING STD. 2. HOSE CONNECTION, THREADED, CL3000, 304SS, MANUFACTURING STD. I’ve searched on Baidu various times but I can’t figure out the difference between “THRD” and “THREADED”; I hope someone experienced can give me some guidance. Thank you.
Internal thread? External thread? Is it at both ends or something like that? I really don’t understand this.
MANUFACTURE STD – it’s not written here; it refers to the manufacturer’s standards, and one needs to consult the manufacturer’s documentation for that information. For hose fittings, unless they are part of a set, the specific thread type must be specified. Based on the CL3000, it is presumed to be NPT threaded. Internal and external threads – it’s hard to tell; probably there are more internal threads. . .
What was said upstairs makes sense; when purchasing from that supplier, one should ask them for the standards. Moreover, this is just a description – there should also be codes, and by using those codes to refer to the supplier’s standards, one should be able to find the relevant information.
