As the title suggests, chemical engineering design is becoming increasingly inadequate these days. What about switching to the pharmaceutical design industry? Do anyone have any good suggestions?

A colleague’s wife works in the petrochemical industry; she has been there for 2–3 years before switching to the pharmaceutical sector. There isn’t much difficulty in design work in that field. One is a bit rougher, the other a bit finer. The principle is the same. The key is that having work to do is the ultimate truth. Now, in that department, there’s not much work, and the profitability isn’t very good!

This post was last edited by The wise on 2016-11-4 21:04. Haven’t you noticed that the pharmaceutical industry is in an even worse state? The design institutes that used to be involved in pharmaceutical design either had their structures acquired or shifted to chemical design.
The overall environment is the same; there are no good opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry either. Environmental protection, energy conservation, carbon reduction, and clean energy represent better prospects. However, design work within engineering companies isn’t considered a key role, and the salaries are low. You can see for yourself
Generally speaking, design is the key role, and the overall earnings are relatively high.
