Discussion on the materials for distillation towers

In our production process, chlorosilanes are used in large quantities (and they hydrolyze upon contact with water vapor, producing residues). The distillation towers currently in use are made of carbon steel and stainless steel. We are now planning to expand production capacity through technical upgrades, and there are two differing opinions within our company regarding the material to be used for these towers: one faction supports the use of stainless steel for distilling chlorosilanes, while the other advocates for the use of glass-lined distillation towers. Dear senior engineers with extensive experience, I would appreciate it if you could clarify the advantages and disadvantages of stainless steel and glass-lined materials in terms of operation, maintenance, and cost for distillation towers. . . :)
Is it trichlorosilane? Let’s go straight to TA2
Based on experience, when chlorine is present, the requirements for materials are very strict! Stainless steel won’t hold up! If TA2 is used, the investment is high. The acidity of the vomit isn’t very strong; thick-walled carbon steel could be considered, and it should be replaced after a few years!
